: A Toast to New Orleans and YOU: Week of October 23-30 : BRAVO Boo Bash/Politics with a Punch// Top Taco/ Azucar Ball/ WYES's Mongus Madness and more!

Good afternoon my darling family and friends, It is a new Monday, October 23, a New Week, filled with new mercies, new blessings and new opportunities. Let's enjoy it to the fullest.   Let's pray for peace in the Middle East and the release of the hostages.
“Mondays are tough only for those people, who don’t know how to spend them cheerfully. Get up and have fun today!”  After a remarkable week filled with fun events and fundraisers, I am looking forward to another fun-filled week. Wishing you a peaceful, blessed week!

This upcoming week is going to be another social decathlon for me.  I started it by attending the lovely WYES NORTHSHORE LUNCH & LEARN WITH A PRESENTATION BY MRS. GAYLE BENSON

As in the past, the annual Fall Picnic (Asado) of Casa Argentina at Picnic 1 of City Park was memorable and delicious. Julio and Cesar kept everyone dancing. Bravo amigos!

The 2023 Ogden Museum of Southern Arts 's O What a Night was indeed a Celebration of All Things of the American South. The very memorable and delicious night honored with the 2023 Opus Award,  talented Cuba-born painter LUIS CRUZ AZACETA. Congratulations.

Darlings,  my annual Halloween Round Table Luncheon was an immense success. The entertainers, the exquisite, creative costumes, the flowing champagne, and the delicious food made it to be one of the best. We sure danced the afternoon away. Thanks to all of you that made it to be so much fun. Put on your calendar: Saturday, November 18 - Thanksgiving RTL at noon at Gennifer Flowers Kelso Cub with invited speaker Natalie Jayroe, President & CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank. Please bring canned goods.

The spectacular Holiday RTL will be on Friday, December 15 at noon at Briquette's. Make sure you make your reservation now before it is sold out. The $75 all-inclusiveve price could be paid by Zelle, Venmo or by sending a check to Margarita Bergem 811 Marigny St. Unit C. New Orleans, Louisiana 70117. have a blessed week!

Premier Political Comedy Show Thursday

Politics with a Punch

is our local version of "Politically Incorrect" and has grown into quite a success story. It started in 2002 and after 153 programs held in New Orleans, Metairie, Covington and Baton Rouge we are celebrating a very special 2023 Election Countdown Show. Through the years, our show has become a Louisiana Political Comedy Tradition. Punch is a fast-paced, free-wheeling, no-holds barred discussion of what is happening in our region, state and nation. We place a premium on having a good time and expect plenty of laughs as we discuss the controversies and the outrageous antics of our local leaders and scoundrels. We love poking fun at local, state and national politics. Come join us!
