A Toast to New Orleans and YOU Week of March 27-April 3:

A Toast to New Orleans and YOU Week of March 27-April 3:

Good afternoon, my darling family and friends. A cloudy Monday, March 27 woke us up in beautiful Emerald Coast where I am enjoying with my brother Lorenzo, our annual Spring sojourn in Destin, Fla.
knew that I missed the Louisiana Derby, & 2023 UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball among other soirees, but I need to recharge my energy for the busy month of April.  Wishing you a wonderful week. “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” ― Eleanor Roosevelt
Last night we enjoyed a delicious and memorable night at Anthony J. and Anna Tusa's lovely Poppy's Crazy Lobster in Baytowne Village Resort in Sandestin.
This is your Monday morning reminder that you can handle whatever this week throws at you. Wishing you a blessed week.
Thanks to  my darling friends, Anthony J. and Anna Tusa, I got an early birthday present by being treated with my friends Donna Hamsler,  Teri Mccall and Vicky Kergalon  to a very delicious and memorable dinner at Poppy's Crazy Lobster in Baytowne Wharf in the Sandestin Resort, Florida.  I loved the menu, as well as the setting overlooking the Marina. I was delighted meeting the staff that included two Dominican gorgeous, talented men.  I was in heaven and the bubbly  helped as well. I also enjoyed meeting  Melissa Tusa  the talented daughter of  AJ Tusa that runs not one but three restaurants In the Baytowne Wharf : Poppy's Crazy Lobster, Hammerhead's Bar and Grille Roberto's Italian Pizzeria.
I am looking forward to returning to Poppy's Crazy Lobster.

Before I left for Destin, I got a chance to enjoy
I enjoyed the excellent TRIBUTE READING:  YOU ARE NOT THE PLAYWRIGHT I WAS EXPECTING: TENNESSEE WILLIAMS’ TREASURES AND SURPRISES
Outside of his most famous plays, some of Tennessee’s most beautiful writing is found in his lesser-known works. Now, in an evening that’s not-to-be-missed, luminaries of the page and stage gather to share some of the playwright’s unsung treasures. Reading gems culled from full-length plays, one-acts, letters, and essays, our performers will take a closer look at the Williams canon and bring his words to life with an evening of readings from lesser-known plays.  This event was  curated by Festival Director Paul J. Willis and Williams editor Thomas Keith, who also hosted. Our readers included a mix of actors and authors including: Bryan Batt, Brenda Currin, John Goodman, Jewelle Gomez, Andrew Holleran, David Kaplan, Lee Osorio, and Mona Lisa Saloy.
Sponsored by a generous grant from the New Orleans Theatre Association.

I hope some of you got to see the fabulous New Orleans Opera's production of Puccini's Madam Butterfly at the Mahalia Jackson Theater. I loved it!

One of the highlights of my week was attending  Art in Bloom  which returned to NOMA in support of the museum and the Garden Study Club of New Orleans. This year’s theme, Paradise Under the Palms, highlighted the multifaceted nature of tropical flora and showcased spectacular creations by garden clubs, floral designers, and creative talents from New Orleans and beyond.
Darlings before I share all the fun upcoming events I want to make sure that you put in your calendar these two fun loving events:
