,Mother Nature blessed me with two gloriously sunny days to enjoy my birthday celebrations. God has been good to me. I am alive, breathing, healthy, and surrounded by family and friends.

ON Friday, April 23, 72 darling friends and my family had the opportunity to Roast me at Commander's Palace.
The celebrations continued when my brother Lorenzo Bergen, joined my cousins Angela, Junior, and Ana Suarez from las Vegas and 75 darling friends at Galatoire's for a Birthday Fiesta with the fabulous Latin sounds of talented guitarists Julio, Cesar, and Andrew Herrera. It was a very memorable weekend!
I want to thank the over 500 friends that expressed through social media, expressions of love, gifts, flowers. I feel blessed! More photos and video will be posted next week
Thanks to Rick Tringali for this beautiful photo of Angela, Junior and Ani Suarez that joined my brother Lorenzo and I at my 75th birthday celebration at Galatoire’s.

I am so thrilled to see that my beloved New Orleans is returning to normalcy: Arts District New Orleans announces “Jammin' on Julia”
Member Galleries in the Arts District will open new exhibitions and invite patrons to an all-day, May 1 art walk event featuring musical performances in the galleries.
Jammin' on Julia
Arts District New Orleans (ADNO) is pleased to announce the return of Jammin' on Julia, a Spring art walk + music festival hybrid event in the district. Jammin' coincides with the First Saturday gallery openings on May 1ST, from 12-7PM. In lieu of the traditional evening art openings and street closure for the festival, the district welcomes patrons to an all-day rolling event featuring world class art exhibitions along Julia Street and the surrounding area, with musical performances in select galleries. The event is free and open to the public and is a perfect opportunity to stroll through the historic Arts District and discover New Orleans’ contemporary art, music, and cuisine. With the safety of our patrons in mind, social distancing and masks are mandated in the galleries.
Guests are invited to enjoy art, live music, libations, and an online auction. Patrons who visit may enjoy not only the art and music, but are invited to experience the varied and delicious cuisine offered by the many restaurants in the area. Musical performances by local musicians will take place in LeMieux Gallery, JONATHAN FERRARA GALLERY, Arthur Roger Gallery, Callan Contemporary, Ariodante, Octavia Art Gallery, Martine Chaisson Gallery, and SPILLMAN | BLACKWELL Fine Art. A map/gallery guide with music schedule may be picked up at any participating gallery courtesy of VenueApp ( learn more at www.venueapp.com).
Additional elements of the event include an online art auction featuring items from our member galleries, giving patrons the opportunity to acquire works of art for personal or corporate collections, in some cases at a price well below gallery retail. In conjunction with Jammin’ Arts Council and The Helis Foundation celebrate the official unveiling of “You Are What You Eat” a mural by artist Jessica Strahan from 3 - 5 PM, at Legacy Park (730 Baronne St.) in partnership with Downtown Development District, International High
School of New Orleans, and New Orleans Arts District. This event will feature a youth arts showcase, music by DJ Gamma Bloom and mini farmers market featuring Paradigm Gardens and Farm to Funk Ferments.
Art collectors and enthusiasts can learn more about the event, auction, and music schedule by visiting www.artsdistrictneworleans.com. For more information on the featured exhibitions, visit the individual gallery websites linked on www.artsdistrictneworleans.com/galleries.
