A Toast to New Orleans and to all of you who are dealing with this pandemic -

Darling friends, I hope this blog finds you healthy and sane.
Good morning friends. A beautiful Wednesday, August 5th is greeting us with bright sunshine. It’s Wednesday! I’m breathing. I’m healthy. I’m truly blessed. I’m grateful for this day and praying for the sick and those who died. 🙏🙏🙏Wishing you all God’s blessing today and every day!
Each morning is the open door to a new world – new vistas, new aims, new plans, new things…Wednesday morning is no less. Be happy with who you are and what you do, and you can do anything you want. Keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life’s a beautiful thing and there’s so much to smile about.
Focus on good thoughts and good things will happen. Stay positive, think positive, and do positive on this Wednesday morning!

Darlings, every day I am grateful to alive, healthy, and sane. As a social butterfly, I have mellow down to the point of only going to one luncheon a week. So this past Friday, I attended a lovely luncheon at Flemings at Metaire with members of Debouche

August 5 is the perfect holiday for all you seafood lovers out there as it is National Oyster Day.

The show is jointly produced with Steve Sabludowsky of Bayoubuzz.com and it has grown into quite a success story. Punch is a fast-paced, free-wheeling, no-holds barred discussion of what is happening in our city, state and nation. We place a premium on having a good time and expect plenty of laughs as we discuss the controversies and the outrageous antics of our local leaders and scoundrels.

How Covid-19 affects the brain
This coronavirus can impact and ravage organs throughout the body. As a neurosurgeon, I have a particular interest in how the virus impacts the brain. Among the most common neurological symptoms are loss of smell and taste, which can also be the first clues that someone has Covid-19.
These symptoms may occur simply because Covid-19 is a respiratory infection, so virus particles enter through the nose and the mouth. If the virus damages nerves i...
