A Toast to New Orleans and YOU: June 5-12: NOWFE/ Heart Ball/ Ogden's Magnolia Ball/Creole Tomato Festival/Pride Festival

Good Afternoon,  my darling family and friends. It is Monday, June 5 and after a restful Sunday, I am looking forward to the always fun and delicious 2023 New Orleans Wine & Food Experience as well as the Ogden's Magnolia Ball and The American Heart Association's Heart Ball on June 10.
Reflect on the week ahead and the dreams you want to make a reality. Take the time to imagine the life you want to live, then start your Monday off correctly by using this quote as inspiration:
"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour, and some style." – Maya Angelou. Have a blessed week! Stay cool & hydrated!

The reading of THE WOMEN of the Book by Clare Boothe Luce and the delicious luncheon at the Blue Room of the Roosevelt Hotel was fabulous. Directed by talented Cathie Choppin Weinstein, the cast included many of my darling friends with made the reading to be very entertaining and memorable. 👏👏👏👏👏👏.

The New Orleans Spring Fiesta Association presented the first of a series of Le Salons et Chansons: Elegant evenings of intriguing lectures about our unique New Orleans and Louisiana histories followed by rapturous parlor concerts. The lovely Spring Fiesta Salon was the venue for the interesting lecture by Robert Ticknor, Senior Reference Associate in the Williams Research Center. Mr. Ticknor discussed the Spring Fiesta townhouse and Marie Laveau’s home, both located on St. Ann Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. Les Demoiselles Borne Curran performed their “Les Belle Créoles Blues and Jazz” concert. Wine and light refreshments were served.

We gathered this year, at the beautiful St. Mary Chapel (in the Old Ursuline Convent) for a short vespers service in Joan's honor and then, we walked together as a procession two blocks to the Joan of Arc statue. We ended the evening by dining at Frank's.
