A Toast to New Orleans July 22-29: Susan G. Komen Summer Cure Chefs Wine Dinner/Bastille Day French Fete/“You Night Cancer Survivor Runway Show and Celebration” & more...

Darlings, hoping that you are staying cool and surviving this nationwide heat wave. I have almost forgotten when I returned from Dominican Republic, how hot and humid my beloved New Orleans gets. Santo Domingo is blessed with a nice breeze from the Caribbean Sea. Thanks to air conditioned houses and venues, we will survive!
The first event that I attended upon my return was the historical visit of
French Ambassador to the United States, Philippe Etienne, who presented the “Maisons des Illustres Marker” to David Villarubia.

Hundreds of French Heritage lovers braved the heat and humidity to attend the lovely reception at The Degas House., which hosted the French Ambassador to the United States, Philippe Etienne, who presented the “Maisons des Illustres Marker” to David Villarubia.

Consul General of France in Louisiana, Vincent Sciama remarked “I am very excited that the Degas House
has been awarded this prestigious French designation. It recognizes the unique work accomplished by Degas House F...

Talking about survival, I was very careful about attending spirited soirees during the fabulous Tales of the Cocktail and I am proud that I did have a great deal of  discipline and survived.

I started the spirited Tales of the Cocktail week by attending the Kick-Off:

What a fun way to kick-off the spirited 17th annual Tales of the Cocktail in front of the Royal Sonesta Hotel. Braving the heat and humidity a large international crowd gathered in front of the Royal Sonesta to kick-off the 2019 Tales of the Cocktail. Every year I look forward to seeing my longtime friends.

The theme of this year’s Tales of the Cocktail was “Cultivate,” which reflects the Foundation’s goal to actively engage partners and participants through leadership.

Please save these dates for the upcoming Round Table Luncheons:

Album William Grant & Sons Party(19 photos)
Judging by all the fabulous photos that have been posted in Facebook, you know that my annual Round Table Luncheon Saluting Tales of the Cocktail was a great success.

During this spirited week, I have to pace myself. After my Luncheon, I went home to take a nap to sober up and attend the spectacular William Grant & Sons annual extravaganza and this time the venue was The Fillmore.

Margarita Bergen added 42 new photos —
WOW! My spirited day started at Desi Vega's Steakhouse, where I was invited by darling friends Russ & Sandra Herman to celebrate their 11th Wedding anniversary during the luncheon of the New Orleans Club. Congratulation darlings!

I am still salivating the refreshing Tiny Martinis and the order of fried pickles at the lovely Hendrick's Gin Tini Martini on Tour with Lyaness. I attended briefly the author Poppy Tooker,’s Drag Queen Luncheon at Tujaque's
It looked so entertaining but I committed to going to Antoine’s for Alexandra Monet’s birthday party.

Celebrating the birthday of my longtime friend Alexandra Monet at the Rex room in Antoine’s.
