A Toast to New Orleans and YOU- Week January 30 to February 6: Galatoire's Mardi Gras Table Auction/ Krewe de Vieux Carre and more

Good afternoon my darling family and friends.  It is Monday, January 29 and it is such a pleasure to wake up to another beautiful morning! Every day is a blessing. And I hope you never hesitate to accept that. I wish you to create memories that will make you smile when you grow old. Life is all about such little things. Monday thoughts are something that will last for the whole week. I hope you start yours with a lot of positivity. I am looking forward to going tonight to Galatoire's for its Mardi Gras Table Auction. Have a blessed week!
Darlings,  this past week was one that was filled with a myriad of emotions. I was devastated when I learned that my talented best friend Laurie Scott had died of a heart attack at her home. If you knew Laurie, you know that she was like me, a party animal with a zest for life so it was shocking to all her friends of her ultimately death.  Fortunately, fo me, I was co-hosting with my rooomate, Rick Tringali, Founder of Jazz Crawl Production, the annual spectacular Round Table Luncheon Saluting the 2023 Carnival Season. Which I dedicated as a Celebration of Life and  Jazz Parade to her memory with the attendance of her daughter Mary Lee Williams and her fiancée Armin Sami .

So many wonderful photos were taken at the annual spectacular Round Table Luncheon Saluting the 2023 Carnival Season and dedicated to the memory of talented dynamo Laurie Scott. I want to thank my talented co-host Rick Tringali, founder of Jazz Crawl Productions  who provided the Second Line Brass Band and the Umbrellas. I also need to thank my speakers John Berglund of Tijon Perfumery, Society Columnist of TP/Advocate Nell Nolan, Daniel Hammer, CEO of The Historic New Orleans Historic Collection, Historian Arthur Hardy . Aislinn Hinyup, WYES VP of Communications, Alyssa Fletchinger from Plush Appeal/ The Mardi Gras Spot, Greg Lambousy, Director of the New Orleans Jazz Museum.
Jorge Lauriano Jr ,Division Manager at William Grant & Sons who provided all the guests with a delicious Hendricks Gin. As you agreed the entertainment by talented Carl Mack and Marshall Harris kept everyone dancing long with the Jazz Crawl Second Line Bras Band.

I hope you will be able to enjoy seeing the photo link by my darling longtime friend Sergio Cabrera
I must have seen Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo every time that the New Orleans' s Ballet Association has presented it but I just love it and find it to be so entertaining 👏❤️

I am looking forward to going tonight to the annual Galatoire's Mardi Gras Table Auction
Tonight's auction will benefit the New Orleans Jazz Museum, Shepherding Hope Foundation and Galatoire Foundation.
For more than 117 years, Galatoire’s has been committed to the city of New Orleans and supports local causes and cultural programs throughout the community through Galatoire Foundation, a New Orleans-based, non-profit organization.

I cannot wait to see it since they will have a lot of material to be irreverent. This year’s queen is Jan Ramsey, the longtime publisher of OffBeat magazine, a monthly chronicle of the Crescent City music scene — and a hothouse for a generation of culture writers. All hail!
The annual Krewe du Vieux parade is the most daring procession in all of Carnival. Known for its insolent political satire, the group’s members are playfully disrespectful to elected officials
