A Toast to New Orleans and YOU. Wishing all of you a healthy happy & peaceful Holiday Season and prosperous healthy, happy 2021

My darling friends.  It is Monday, December 21, the first day of Winter.  Let a disarming smile and kindness in your heart will be your armor. For me, Monday represents a fresh start to the week. It is the day where the slate from the previous week is wiped clean. It is a day of new beginnings. Let's be grateful that we are alive, healthy, and blessed. Let's pray for those sick with COVID 19 and those that joined the Lord. Hope is in the air! A new Corona Virus stimulus package was approved and vaccines are being administered. Wear your mask and keep your distance. I am grateful to have been alive and healthy to enjoy hosting my Round Tables Luncheons. I want to thank everyone that was brave enough to come. They were not big gatherings like in the past since the health of my guests was my number one priority but we had fun and were very memorable. I look forward to hosting many other Round Table Lunches once everyone has been vaccinated.
 Sending a visual hug.

This year, we will be treated to a spectacular astronomical event in the evening of the solstice: a “Great Conjunction” between Jupiter and Saturn, in which the two massive planets will appear closer together in the sky than they’ve been in centuries.

Saturn and Jupiter have slowly been moving closer to each other over the past few weeks, and will converge on Dec. 21 in an event astronomers call the "great conjunction" — also referred to as the "Christmas Star." Here's how to view the event.

Last year I flew to Las Vegas to celebrate the Christmas Season with my cousins- The Suarez Family.  My cousins' Police Officer Angela Suarez,  Ana Suarez, and Junior and his family who lived in Las Vegas were joined by their mother Tatica and Kenia and her family who flew in from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic for the reunion.  It was a great and very memorable Christmas holiday!

I missed it last night : Painted circles indicate where carolers were to stand in keeping a safe distance during the coronavirus pandemic as ÒCaroling in Jackson Square, 2020 Style!Ó took place this year outside the New Orleans Jazz Museum in the French Quarter of New Orleans on Sunday, December 20, 2020. Patio Planters of the Vieux CarreŽ presented the event. To ensure safety a lottery was held to pick the 50 people permitted to spread out and sing. (Photo by Chris Granger | The Times-Pi… See More

Getty New Orleans celebrates Christmas pretty much like any other American city, but it is in the nature of this city to never be totally normal; to be a bit quirky in whatever we do, and that includes the holidays. Here are three ways that we go dashing through the glow a little differently: Revellions. This is a modern...
