Good morning my darling family and friends. It is a beautiful Monday, November 1st. Let's say goodbye to October and welcome November I, 2021 - All Saints' Day or to me Día de los Muertos—the Day of the Dead—
The 2021 Halloween weekend is going to down my memory lane as a very memorable one that started on Friday when I reigned as the Queen of Halloween for the French Quarter Citizens and concluded on Sunday when our beloved Saints provided the perfect end to a great Halloween weekend by beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a spooktacular way 36-27.
Today, November 1, I feel so blessed to be alive, healthy, and I was able to reign as the Queen of Halloween for the spectacular French Quarter Citizens' Halloween Fundraiser at the historic New Orleans Jazz Museum. It was quite a night and thanks to Voodoo Priestess Cinnamon Black that transformed me into a fun-loving Voodoo Queen!

The mass is a long-standing tradition at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home and the community at large is invited to participate and honor their loved ones who have passed. All Saints Day, also known as All Hallows’ Day, is a Christian tradition, which commemorates the lives of all Christian saints, known and unknown. The mausoleum, built in cooperation with the New Orleans Archdiocese, offers a contemporary, climate-controlled Catholic burial facility. With stained-glass windows and Italian handcrafted mosaics, the All Saints Mausoleum has become a renowned resting place for many New Orleanians. In case of inclement weather, the celebration will be held indoors at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home chapel. After the mass, refreshments and a commemorative gift will be available for attendees. |
