,

Good afternoon, my darling family and friends. Today, Monday, September 19 the world said a final goodbye to beloved Queen Elizabeth II in a historic, moving funeral service full of pageantry, watched by millions. I cherish the memories of being in London & Windsor Castle and seeing now King Charles and Camila, Queen Consort as they speed by in their Claret color Roll Royce.

Let's give thanks for another day full of many possibilities. Take advantage of Monday to think about what you need to do to get what you want. Have faith to outline your plans, courage to idealize your goals, and strength to make them happen. May this Monday be the beginning of a week of peace and find joy in every day ahead.May be an image of one or more people and text that says 'Wishing you a Beautiful week ahead. Happy Monday. Always BELIEVE that something wonderful is about to to happen. Rorjoie in what you have, Ombrace what is to come with a grateful open heart. ~Balz INSPIRE SOUESENSATIONS'

Darlings by now you know that I am a big Anglophile and have been mourning the passing of beloved Queen Elizabeth and have been glued to TV since 4:30 am . I was interviewed by talented Kenny Lopez of ABC (channel 26) for a TV segment to air tonight at 6pm .May be an image of 2 people and people standing

Last week was a very exciting one that took me away from being glued to the TV watching everything about the Queen.
The annual Excelencia Gala of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana was a great success. The honorary chair was Chef Aaron Sánchez who was represented by his uncle. The Chamber presented 2022 Excelencia Awards to Chase Bank, United Way, TELEMUNDO,Tito’s Ceviche and Pisco and Lisa Ochomogo. I was thrilled to see so many of the longtime friends

ANNOUNCING CULTURE COLLISION 12!
ANNUAL FREE ARTS & CULTURE SHOWCASE RETURNS IN 2022 AFTER A TWO-YEAR HIATUS

WWNO 89.9 FM and Jefferson Performing Arts Society are partnering to bring back Culture Collision! After a two-year pandemic hiatus, Culture Collision 12 returns on Wednesday, September 21, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Jefferson Performing Arts Center in Metairie. The last Culture Collision event was held in August 2019.
Culture Collision is an annual showcase for nonprofit arts and cultural organizations in the New Orleans metro-area. Ranging from the city’s classic arts institutions to its resourceful contemporary newcomers, this happy hour event reflects the diversity of the region’s creative community. The event is free and open to the public—and for this “comeback year”, the fee for organizations to reserve a display table have been waived. Over 60 local arts and culture companies are expected to join, with several of the participating organizations presenting live entertainment.
“From its beginning in 2008, Culture Collision’s aim has been to introduce all kinds of art and cultural activity to people from all parts of the metro area,” said WWNO General Manager, Paul Maassen. “WWNO is delighted that Culture Collision 2022 will carry on this mission and highlight our region’s newest investment in the arts, the Jefferson Performing Arts Center.”
This beloved community arts event is making its debut in Jefferson Parish after over a decade in New Orleans, where it was held at renowned cultural venues such as The National World War Two Museum, The Contemporary Arts Center (CAC), The Ogden Museum, and New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA).
In July 2022, Jefferson Performing Arts Society was named as the new managers of Jefferson Performing Arts Center. “Our hosting of Culture Collision aligns with our goal to build a wider array of presentations and programming at this gorgeous gem of a venue. We look forward to welcoming arts and cultural organizations of all genres and their audiences here in September to show them all that we have to offer and to let them know that our doors are always open to new opportunities and partnerships,” said Todd Simmons, General Manager of Jefferson Performing Arts Center and Executive Director of Jefferson Performing Arts Society.
Jefferson Performing Arts Center is located at 6400 Airline Drive near the former Zephyr Stadium, not far from the Saints training camp and next to LaSalle Park. Parking in the Jefferson Performing Arts Center adjacent lot is free. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN THE 2022 STORMING OF THE SAZERAC AT THE ROOSEVELT

NEW ORLEANS.

The Roosevelt New Orleans

130 Roosevelt Way

New Orleans, LA 70112

AT THIS TIME THE EVENT IS FULLY COMMITTED.  WE LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU NEXT YEAR.

Ladies, join us in raising a glass to Ti Adelaide Martin at the Storming of the Sazerac at The Roosevelt Hotel as she is honored as the Reigning Spirit of the Sazerac!

The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel will host the annual Storming of the Sazerac on Friday September 23, 2022 in the Blue Room. This one-of-a-kind celebration pays tribute to the empowered group of women who stormed the Sazerac Bar in 1949 demanding equality and a stiff drink. This event made the Sazerac Bar the first bar in New Orleans to allow women on days other than Mardi Gras. “Storming of the Sazerac” encompasses libations, cuisine and entertainment, including:

  • A ladies-only luncheon
  • Complimentary champagne
  • Pop-up fashion shop
  • Live entertainment
  • Juried best-dressed competition

Following the Blue Room festivities, our Reigning Spirit of the Sazerac will lead attendees in a second line to “storm” the world-renowned Sazerac Bar, where the spirited day continues with Sazerac cocktails in-hand.

Ladies are invited to dress in post-war New Orleans style, such as hats, veils, peep-toe shoes and gloves. Doors to the world famous Blue Room open at 12:45pm, and the celebration begins with the traditional ladies lunch at 1:00pm. Live entertainment will be provided, and the event will feature a fashion show showcasing vintage style with a best-dressed competition.

Blue Room luncheon tickets are $99++ per person

Each year, the historic 1949 moment in the history of the Roosevelt New Orleans Hotel is reenacted and celebrated with a variety of events, including a cadre of women in period costume heading into the bar. This year, the occasion will be marked Sept. 23.

Prior to "storming," women were only allowed into the hallowed panel enclave on Mardi Gras. The fun starts at 1 p.m. with a three-course lunch in the Blue Room with live entertainment,
