A Toast to New Orleans and YOU-Week of April 25 to May 2: Prix de Elegance/ LPO Swing in City Park/NO Jazz Festival. and more.
Good afternoon my darling family and friends. A beautiful Monday, April 25 awaits us. The memories are lingering of my birthday celebrations that concluded at Luncheon at Commander's with brother Lorenzo and friends and watching the Pelicans overwhelm the Suns. I am praying that you all had a wonderful weekend that included 2022 French Quarter Fest & the Zurick Classic, As the Dalai Lama said:" Waking up to a new Monday is a gift, appreciate it, and do remember you are loved.' Have a blessed Monday!
I am still salivating the delicious paella and tapas that were served at the meeting of The New Orléans Ballet Association’s BRAVO . The food and libations were prepared by Chef Edgar Caro of BARU Restaurant and his staff. The meeting at the palatial home of Henri ad Karen Coaxum geared up the biggest event of the year- the upcoming elegant Gala on May 13 at the Hyatt and the Don Quixote ballet performance of the American Ballet Theatre on May 14 and 15 at Mahalia Jackson. I cannot wait! I started my birthday week on Thursday by participating in the French Quarter Parade along my friend Libby Tringale and Hon. Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser. GThe highlight of my birthday week was hosting my lovely Champagne Fiesta Round Table Luncheon on Friday at the Magnolia Room of Broussard's. Julio and Cesar kept everyone dancing. The decor and the birthday cake were compliment of beautiful, talented Saundra Lane who used daisies( margaritas ) throughout the room and the courtyard. I felt blessed to have turned 76 and have some many beautiful friends that joined at this sold-out event. Many of my dearest friends coud not attend because they needed to work at the Zurick Classic, and we missed them.
Enjoying birthday luncheon at Commander's!
