I had to work at the gallery but I managed to cover a myriad of fun events that kept me jumping from one soiree to another. Fortunately my darling friend, conductor Paul Mauffray, was in town to escort me around.
I do not have to tell you that the highlight of my week was my monthly Round Table Luncheon at Antoine's. It saluted the Jefferson Performing Arts Society and the Hispanic Heritage. As such, one of my featured speakers was Mayra Pineda, the Director of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana.
After her commentaries about the growing Hispanic population, I turned over the microphone to my darling friend Maestro Dennis Assaf who brought 10 members of the cast of “Rigoletto,” the opera JPAS will be staging this weekend at their new Performing Arts Center. I hope you open the link to see how much fun we had with the talented cast. Everyone said it was the best- but I heard that before!
