A Toast to New Orleans and YOU- Week of November 14-21- Rejuvené Med Spa Holiday Soiree/ Beaujolais Nouveau/ Founder Ball/ Saints game and more.....

This past week was another busy week in my beloved New Orleans .I was going from one fundraiser to another. I finally stayed home on Sunday.
The New Orleans Museum of Art ‘s 2022 Odyssey To Your Heart Content Ball was awesome and delicious. It was co-chaired by Dana and Tony Adams, Caroline, and Murray Calhoun. Odyssey celebrates and enhances the New Orleans Museum of Art in an evening of unparalleled elegance. Critically important to the museum and the wide community it serves, Odyssey raises the funds necessary to support NOMA’s internationally recognized exhibitions and educational programs.

WoW! It was an awesome evening at the spectacular celebration of the 15th year of Roots of Music at the Sazerac House!
Congratulations
Wow what a fun evening at the National WWII’s 2022 Victory Ball. I have enjoyed attending these fabulous balls since they started and love seeing so many longtime friends.

This year our honoree for a Lifetime in Music is Little Freddie King. Get your tickets
Music included a Tribute to Little Freddie King (2022 Lifetime Achievement in Music Recipient) with Lulu and the Broadsides plus Johnny Sansone, Sunpie Barnes and Andy J. Forest; Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentlemen; swamp pop legend Tommy McLain and C.C. Adcock; Bo Dollis, Jr. & the Wild Magnolias; the New Orleans Baby Dolls; Kings of Brass (winners of this year's Red Bull Street King competition); The Pathways Quartet; the Daiquiri Queens; the Joy Clark Band, and more special surprise guests. From my darling longtime friend, Nell Nolan, society columnist of the TP/Advocate: Voo Carré
With French Quarter Citizens Inc. as the ghosting force, “Halloween Costume Party” lured folks to the New Orleans Jazz Museum in the Old U.S. Mint.
For her royal encore, Margarita Bergen, FQC’s reigning Queen of Halloween, reflected her Hispanic heritage dressed as a Mexican Monarch Butterfly for Dia de los Muertos.
More celebrated ghouls and gals were gala co-chairs Gary Wheat (FQC treasurer and joined by Crag Guidry), Sharon Singleton and Carl Mack, as well as FQC president Glade Bilby and spouse Michele Zembo (Best Costume winner), Vice Prez Gail Cavett, secretary Angie Bowlin with Christopher Fransen, former district attorney Leon Cannizzaro and Norma, Rebecca Thomley (silent auction “winner” of House of Blues Foundation VIP Club Membership) and Nicholas, Millie Adler, Nikki Szalwinski, Texans Rita and Jeff Juster, Rene Fransen and Eddie Bonin, Joseph Rochelle, Hal Williamson and Dale LeBlanc, Heather Harllee, Chad Pellerin, and FQC executive director Jodi Poretto.
Fab features were scary skeletons and ghosts, the Voodoo Lounge with spooky lighting, chomps donated by generous purveyors (chef John Trinh prepared crabmeat maison), the silent auction of 24 items, and music by Julio and Cesar for a lotta leg shaking.
Jazz Museum director Greg Lambousey lauded the looks (“some of the best costumes of the season”), adding “The French Quarter Citizens know how to do Halloween.” Amen.
