: A Toast to New Orleans and YOU: Week of September 27mto Oct. 4- Reminder to RSVP to Halloween Round Table Luncheon on Oct. 20 at Tujaque's
Good
morning my darling friends. We are greeting the morning of Monday, September 27
with a smile in our face after our beloved Saints dominated the Patriots 28 to
13 to a big victory. Thanks to my roommate Rick Tringali and my brother
Lorenzo Bergen, I can follow and enjoy the game more. I feel grateful this Monday
to be alive, healthy and I wish that you are as well.
Wake up on your Monday
morning and take a moment to think about all the things in your life that
you’re happy and grateful for. Attack Monday with enthusiasm, laughter,
thousands of smiles and cheerfulness. Let this Monday be kind to you: be happy
with what you have and accept the things which you cannot change.
Sending a virtual hug
and wishing you a blessed week. Wear your mask.
Darlings, ever since our
return from our cultural/musical tour after Ida, it has been a social cultural
marathon.
I was
so blessed to get together on Thursday with my darling friends of the Club of
New Orleans. Sandra And Russ Herman always put together a great group of
friends. The speaker was my darling longtime friend, talented photographer of
the stars Jeff Strout
I enjoyed so much the celebration of life
of longtime friend Don Marquis(RIP)at the NO Jazz Museum. Don Marquis was a prolific writer,
researcher and French Quarter fixture who dedicated his life to documenting New
Orleans jazz. The Treme Lafitte Brass Band and the Baby
Dolls made it to be a very special night that I am sure Don would have
approved. HTTPs://www.facebook.com/100048650508918/videos/pcb.384746776490336/844309692952230

That
evening I was also invited to attend the most memorable extraordinary musical
experience at the beautiful Magnolia Mansion, and it is occurring every
Thursday night. https://www.facebook.com/100048650508918/videos/pcb.384826473149033/896348611315848

On a sad note:
My deepest condolences
to my longtime friend Alan Smason for the untimely death of his beloved
mother Anne Smason.
I always enjoyed seeing
her at the Orpheuscape and reading her obituary made me understand what
an incredible lady she was and loved by so many. May her soul RIP.
