Darlings, another fabulous week has gone and the best is yet to come.
This past week, among the many soirees that I attended was the lovely "A Musical Prelude to the Celebration of Easter: Concert Two" at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The fabulous concert is part of a series of public concerts presented by The Bishop Perry Center with the Archdiocese of New Orleans and St. Louis Cathedral. The second concert featured a program of classical piano including some arrangements for four hands performed by well-known surgeon and concert pianist Dr. E. Quinn Peeper with Michael Harold, attorney and legal recruiter, as well as a pianist. They each played solo as well. Joining them was tenor Casey Candebat, who placed in the recent Metropolitan Opera’s regional competition. He was accompanied on the piano by Jesse Reeks.
The Rev. William F. Maestri, Director of the Bishop Perry Center, announced that the Center’s third concert in its second annual Musical Prelude to the Celebration of Easter, will take place Thursday, March 5 at 6 p. m. The event, one of a series of six free concerts during Lent, will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1116 Chartres St., part of the historic Ursuline Convent complex. The third concert will feature a program by three beautiful blondes known in the New Orleans music world as the Truffle Honeys: Barbara Hallenbeck Bestani, Jennifer Mills Messina, and Sarah Martzolf Jackson. These talented, multi-tasking professionals, sing a wide range of solo selections and, as an ensemble, they harmonize in the style of the famed Andrews Sisters. Not to be missed.
Another fabulous night was Diana Ross' concert at the gorgeous Saenger Theatre! Fashionistas like me enjoyed her four or so changes of clothes. We started our evening at the Rib Room of the Royal Orleans Hotel where we enjoyed drinks and celebrated the 60th birthday of my darling friend Vic Planetta. A limo picked up 18 of us and took us to the concert and then to the packed to the brim Jeremy Davenport's Lounge where the celebration continued. It was quite a very memorable night.https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152563183590870.1073742419.581200869&type=1&l=e8e3ae7599
Here is a small video of one of my favorite songs: "I will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152563148760870&pnref=story

Sex Please, We're Sixty Opens this Weekend!!
Mrs. Stancliffe's Rose Cottage Bed & Breakfast has been successful for many years. Guests (nearly all women) return year after year. Her next-door neighbor, the silver-tongued Bud Davis believes that they return to spend time with "Bud the Stud" in romantic liaisons. The prim and proper Mrs. Stancliffe, of course, steadfastly denies this. Her other neighbor, Henry Mitchell, a retired chemist, has developed a little blue pill patented under the name "Venusia" after Venus, the goddess of love, to increase the libido in menopausal women, specifically Mrs. Stancliffe. The only problem is he doesn't know if it works or not. Bud inadvertently gets his hands on some of the "Venusia" pills and the fun begins as the guests arrive.
