Darlings,
This past week was a breeze in term of social events- I spent most of my time at Casell Bergen Gallery and recuperating at home from the social tsunami of the Carnival Season.
On Saturday, I enjoyed turning into a green Goddess to attend the
Girls Scout Louisiana East's Cookies and Cocktails at the Hurrah's Theater. It was great to see so many of my darling friends involved in such a worthwhile cause. Since I was nearby, I stopped for a glass of champagne at the first floor of the Windsor Court where sultry, talented Anais St. John was performing. I loved it.
Girls Scout Louisiana East's Cookies and Cocktails at the Harrah's Theater was so much fun!
This Thursday is going to be a busy day. T
he Bishop Perry Center is presenting its second annual Musical Prelude to the Celebration
St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1116 Chartres Street, part of the Catholic Cultural Center, which also includes the Ursuline Convent.
Darlings in case you did not know- this week is National Margarita Day-, so I am serving complimentary margaritas to my costumers at Casell- Bergen Gallery, 1305 Decatur Street.
This week, I am looking forward to several fun events that will include
Tuesday, February 24
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Sponsoring Organizations: New Orleans Opera Association
Tickets: FREE and Open to the Public
The New Orleans Opera Association continues its highly popular, free, "Opera on Tap" program of light operatic and live stage fare at various watering holes around New Orleans. This month's first appearance of the NOOA's offshoot troupe will be at The Rusty Nail, a rustic neighborhood bar in the Warehouse Arts District.
Founded in 2007, Opera on Tap is part of an effort to "demystify" the operatic musical art form and make it more accessible and enjoyable to larger numbers of people. The troupe is enjoying ever-growing popularity, as evidenced by the increasing size of the audiences that come to hear them sing familiar (and not-so-familiar) opera arias and classic songs from hit musicals. The performance runs from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 and is open to the public.
Valet parking is available for $5.00.

What happens when you mix Viagra with Venusia? Confusion, chaos and a lot of laughs. Especially when a little, diamond-shaped blue pill developed to increase the libido of menopausal women, causes hot flashes, mood swings and irritability in the men who inadvertently take it prior to attempted sexual activity.
The scene is Mrs. Stancliffe's Rose Cottage Bed & Breakfast where three lonely women get involved with "Bud the Stud," Mrs. Stancliffe's next door neighbor. Her other neighbor (and would-be suitor) is Henry Mitchell, a retired chemist who has developed – but not tested – the Venusia pills for women.
The play's book was written by Michael Parker, co-author (with his wife Susan) of the highly-acclaimed "Sin, Sex and the CIA" in 2006, along with other steamy stage works. "Uncle Wayne" Daigrepont directs the production. Show times vary; call JPAS for details.
