A Toast to New Orleans and YOU. Week of June 7-12

A Toast to New Orleans and YOU. Week of June 7-12

Good morning my darling family and friends. It is Tuesday, June 7 and I am celebrating my return to my beloved New Orleans after spending an amazing week at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in historic London. I feel blessed to have experienced the memorable festivities and look forward to returning😘.  Tonight, I am looking forward to attending The Ella Brennan Lifetime Achievement in Hospitality Award Gala Honoring Chef Frank BrigtsenAs Marcus Aurelius said: “When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive -to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.”  “May joy and happiness accompany you throughout day and night! Wishing you an awesome Tuesday and the rest of the week.

Darlings, Samuel Johnson once said: Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.  Personally, I just never get tired of visiting London and the pomp and pageantry of the colorful Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee was an incredible memory experience.

Enjoyed visiting and drinking cocktails at my favorite bar in London at the Claridge’s Hotel where I bumped into my longtime friend Gregory Holt . He told that his wife Lucy Bennet was shopping like  we did at Harrods. The head Concierge Martin Ballard send us complimentary cocktails and we talked about bygone longtime friends from New Orleans Such as  Hon. Jimmy  Coleman, Bernice Norman and Mark Turk.

Last night it was our last night in London and my darling longtime friend Lorraine de Germiny invited us to join her at her private club. She is the daughter of Count Hubert de Germiny who died this year. She always calls me Tia(aunt) she was born In New Orléans while his father was the Press attaché for the French Consulate. She is an international lawyer based in London after attending Tulane and Columbia Law Schools. We had a great dinner and danced the night away. I promised her to return soon and stay at her place.
