Good afternoon my darling friends. I hope you all had a warm, peaceful, Mardi Gras 2021 and a joyful Valentine's Day.
I sure did by staying home and had friends dropping by. This chilly morning Wednesday, Feb. 17, I am counting my blessings that I am alive, healthy, and have electrical power. I am praying for those without electricity, for the sick with COVID, and those that have passed away. Sending all of you a warm visual hug and wishing you a blessed Ash Wednesday.
Mardi Gras Time and since I refused to step out my darling longtime friend Evan Hungate visiting New Orleans with his friend Daniel from NYC joined me for a bottle of champagne
Darlings, it was a very different story when I hosted my sold-out annual It is Carnival Time 2021 Round Table Luncheon on Wednesday, February 10th at Andrea's in Metairie. It was a MUSICAL TRIBUTE To talented pianist JIM WALPOLE who has been my musical entertainment director for 15th years and was celebrating his birthday on Valentine's Day.

I felt so blessed to start the 2021 Carnival Season as a Queen once again! Despite COVID 19, on January 6, 2021, I was Queen Yolande de Aragon of the Krewe of Jeanne d'Arc and then Que Pasa's Mardi Gras Mambo Queen. Life is good and every day I count my Blessings!

Each year, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent and is always 46 days before Easter Sunday.Lent is a 40-day season (not counting Sundays) marked by repentance, fasting, reflection, and ultimately celebration.
