Darlings,
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by your loved ones.
I had the best Thanksgiving ever, in the company of my darling brother Lorenzo, my Chiquita Bergen and one of my best friends, Michael Langford. I always wanted to experience having Thanksgiving at the Sugar Palace of Houmas House Plantation and Gardens. Thanks to the proprietor, Kevin Kelly, and his assistant, Cecily Neville Boudreaux, the day was not only a culinary feast but also a visual feast. Check out this link.https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10153077429215870.1073742567.581200869&type=1&l=5b2573ee30

On Wednesday, I had a great time savoring and drinking with my darling friend Dr. James Moises of ' Moises Wines at Swirl. James has agreed to give us a tasting of his fabulous Pinot Noir at the upcoming Round Table Luncheon on December 16 at Antoine's
I spent most of the weekend working at Casell-Bergen Gallery but on Monday it was time to enjoy not one, but two wonderful soirees. I started my fabulous evening at the lighting of the magnificent Christmas Tree in the lobby of the elegant Windsor Court Hotel. It was just magical and I enjoyed it tremendously.https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10153083378635870.1073742568.581200869&type=1&l=52cc35e0a2
The fun evening continued and it was time to attend the annual Galatoire's auction of the tables for Fridays before Christmas and another one for the tables for Friday before Mardi Gras. I am happy to report that my darling friend, Sammy Steele, bought 2 tables of 12 seats at the tune of close to $10,000 for Friday, December 18. I cannot wait.
This year, proceeds from the two auctions will benefit the Galatoire 's Foundation, which has been dedicated to giving back to the New Orleans community and region that has patronized Galatoire’s for generations; New Orleans Mission, an organization dedicated to rescue, recovery and re-engagement of those who need it most in the New Orleans area; and Boys Hope Girls Hope Greater New Orleans Chapter, whose mission is to help academically capable and motivated children-in-need meet their full potential.https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10153083412895870.1073742570.581200869&type=1&l=bddd579ed0
Today, I am looking forward to attend not one, but two festive soirees. The first one will be the annual lighting of the Lobby of the Roosevelt Hotel, followed by the lighting of the balconies of the Royal Sonesta Hotel. I will be rushing out to attend the premiere of Broadway Across America's presentation of “Newsies.” I saw it in NYC and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have not had the opportunity of seeing Luna Fest yet but I have until December 6 to see it. The Arts Council of New Orleans is presenting Luna Fete, which lights up Gallier Hall for free, twice-nightly shows at 7 and 7:30 p.m. though Dec. 6.
“The projection portrays a fast-paced, upbeat view of the growth of New Orleans, from swamp to steamboat port, to contemporary Carnival on St. Charles Avenue,” reports Doug McCash. “In a surrealistic stream, snakes and alligators slither over the neoclassical columns, rainbow-colored silhouettes wander the walls, a paddle wheeler plies a digital river, a meteor shower angles across the pediment, bats drift across a spooky imaginary cemetery, the building explodes into digital confetti, flowering vines consume the architecture and on and on.”
This Friday, is the annual the Ladies of Lukemia's FÊTE de NÖEL Luncheon and Fashion Show - It has become the most successful and well attended charity luncheon in New Orleans.
Proceeds from this luncheon are used to fund grant proposals submitted by medical researchers at institutions in the Gulf South Region (Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi) to our panel of six volunteer physicians.
On Friday, I am inviting everyone to kick off your holiday season at Art Against AIDS on Friday, December 4. See female impersonator Randy Roberts as he performs as Cher! St. Louis Cathedral Concerts
Fronting on Jackson Square in the heart of the French Quarter, the historic St. Louis Cathedral and Basilica plays host to an annual holiday tradition of staging free concerts by prominent New Orleans musicians, church choirs and singers in the jazz, classical, gospel and pop genres.
Within the Gothic splendor of one of America’s oldest, most historic and most architecturally significant churches, the acoustics lend an air of reverence to the songs being sung and the music being played. The present structure, the cathedral church of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, dates from 1794.
The St. Louis Cathedral concerts, produced by French Quarter Festivals, Inc. as part of Christmas New Orleans Style, generally run for an hour, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The concerts are open to the public and donations are welcome to help fund the cost of the series.
In recent years there have been as many as fifteen individual concerts between the beginning of December and just a few days before Christmas. In any given year at the St. Louis Cathedral concerts you can hear a sampling of some of the best music New Orleans has to offer.
For more information about the St. Louis Cathedral Holiday Concerts call 504-522-5730 or go to www.fqfi.org.

Luna Fetei can not wait to see it.
LUNA Fête is a five-year initiative intended to culminate in New Orleans’ 2018 tricentennial.
With LUNA representing “Light Up NOLA Arts,” LUNA Fête is the Arts Council’s experiential community-wide event that unfolds over the course of a week; we also will “shine a light” on the great work being done by our partners, peers, and friends.
Each year, the Arts Council will grow the scope of its international partnerships with video-mapping practitioners and expand the number of installations we commission and produce in New Orleans, with the intention of stimulating cross-sector relationships and collaboration and connecting our community to a new form of contemporary practice.
