Another incredible week of fun and fabulous events went by.
I was ripe and ready to enjoy the annual French Market's Creole Tomato Festival and the other soirees that included a delicious Tequila Dinner at Superior Grill Restaurant on St. Charles Avenue. The superb dinner was cooked by talented and creative Chef Miguel Chavez of Superior with Milagros Tequila represented by my darling friend Jorge Lauriano Jr. of William Grant and Son.

On Wednesday, the French Market Corporation hosted the Creole Soiree, a reception and ceremony honoring longtime staff and Creole Tomato Festival vendors, in celebration of the 30th Anniversary Creole Tomato Festival. The lovely soiree was held at Marche (formerly Bella Luna and later Galvez). Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser spoke at the soiree.
I just loved attending the annual WYES Producers Circle Soiree. The lovely event was held at the spectacular home of Lori and Bobby Savoie on Audubon Blvd.
The Producers Circle consists of members who individually contribute $1,200 or more annually to WYES. The annual Preservation Resource Center's Ladies in Red soiree at the Orpheum Theater was like in the past FUN, FUN, FUN! I joined the PRC at the A Red Hot Jazz Gala for an evening of spectacular musical performance, delicious cuisine and dancing to celebrate these pillars of our cultural community. The 16th Annual Ladies in Red honored jazz musicians and the institutions that support them for their contributions to New Orleans’ cultural legacy. On Saturday, it was time to attend the annual Ogden Museum's Magnolia Ball which was superb. It honored TOP MOB, in memory of DJ REal.
The Orleans Graffiti, running from June 4–November 6, 2016, will feature an opening reception on Thursday, June 16 during the Ogden After Hours. It should be fun! On Sunday, I was honored to be invited by The English-Speaking Union - New Orleans Branch to the annual Queen Elizabeth II's 90th Birthday Party at the New Orleans Country Club. As in the past, white gloves, beautiful hats and ensembles were favored by the lovely guests. “Spotlight on Success” pays tribute to a select group of outstanding professionals in the Greater New Orleans area.
